ACADEMY IMPROVES IT INFRASTRUCTURE
The Guru Nanak Sikh Academy has developed from a low base line to what it is today, a School achieving above local and national standards. The success of the School has been recognised through Ofsted as an outstanding school with ‘Outstanding’ in every category and IT is proving to be a fundamental part of the children’s learning and for staff facilitating the educational day.
NEEDS AND CHALLENGES
Based in Hayes, Middlesex, The Guru Nanak Sikh Academy currently has 90 staff and 700 pupils who are using the Academy's IT facilities on a regular basis.
Karen Bennett, Head of ICT, is responsible for over 400 computers and the administration of the student IT network.
“The School instils a lifelong love of learning so it is important to us that both the staff and students can access all the required aspects of IT as and when required.” Karen Bennett explained.
Classes and administrative activities were being disrupted when the computers were not accessible and when they found themselves without their usual ICT staff they needed some sound IT advice.
A Consultant Project Manager working for Guru Nanak recommended Dunston IT based on his own personal experience.
THE IT SOLUTION
A choice of cost effective solutions to improve the current IT infrastructure was provided.
The IT infrastructure was in good working order within a week with on-going IT Support whenever required.

Staff and students now log on straight away as opposed to taking over 20 minutes.
On-site engineers are available to resolve any issues that arise.
Expansion plans have been catered for that will allow for an additional 100 PCs.
